Taking Your Taste Buds to New Heights!

It's that time of year again and we are all eagerly awaiting the first shipments of the uniquely delicious and the famous Indian River Ruby Red Grapefruit. Mother Nature has been hard at work and it will be worth the wait once the first Hyatt Fruit gift box arrives at your door! If you have not tried Broiled Indian River Ruby Red Grapefruit before, then we here at Hyatt Fruit want to share this simple recipe. In just a few short steps, you can be cozying up in your favorite chair or next to your favorite person with a bubbly delicious, sweetly warm Ruby Red Grapefruit. Start your ovens!

Broiled Grapefruit (Serves 2)

1 Ruby Red Grapefruit
1 Tbsp Brown Sugar

1. Turn on the broiler in your oven.
2. Cut grapefruit in half, crosswise.
3. Cut around the edge of the grapefruit and between the individual sections so the segments.
3. Sprinkle the halves with brown sugar.
4. Cover a cookie sheet or broiler pan with foil, place grapefruit on the tray.
5. Place in oven, 6 inches under the broiler, for 3-5 minutes or until the sugar begins to bubble and caramelize.
5. Remove from oven - allow to cool before serving.
